The support was 3 bags of women cloths to whom developed fistula and 11 bags of women and children cloths to whom they were displaced due to internal conflicts.
House Rent Support
One of our beneficiaries recently lost his parents and was left with his sister. Though his sister went to an orphanage, he had refused to do the same. Therefore, I Care tried to find caregivers by contributing foodstuffs for him to continue with his studies. At the moment, the organization is covering the child’s house rent so he has somewhere safe to stay.
Contributions and Donations by I Care
I Care visited the Fistula Hospital in Addis Ababa, one of the largest hospitals that provide care for those affected by harmful traditional practices and rape victims. I Care contributed two bags of children’s and women’s clothes to the hospital.
In addition, there have been a lot of people displaced from the nearby towns of Addis Ababa because of internal conflicts and violence. The displaced citizens left their homes at an instant thus were in desperate need of basic needs while they stay at a temporary shelter. Therefore, in collaboration with the Union of Ethiopian Women Charitable Associations (UEWCA), we collected and organized nine bags of clothing that were donated to the shelter. During the collection, the I Care team from laundry service training took up the initiative to wash, group, and pack the clothes. All members, staff, and volunteers of I Care would like to express our heartfelt sorrow for these unfortunate events and that they are always in our prayers.
